Fracture and Wound Healing with PEMF

A fracture is usually caused by a trauma to the bone. Other causes include fragile bones due to osteoporosis, or stress fractures in athletes as a result of overuse. When a bone is fractured, blood supply to the area should carry nutrients and new bone tissue should be formed with time. Nonetheless, in some cases the bone cannot heal properly, leading to a non-union fracture.

If at least three months have passed without signs of healing, it is assumed to be a non-union fracture.

Applying Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields fractures, especially non-union, will help improve blood supply to the area and stimulate the production of nutrients like calcium while reducing pain. The Parmeds PEMF system can be used with a cast, and offers a non-invasive option for treating fractured bones.

PEMF for Fracture Healing

A therapist who successfully treated 3 patients who had severely broken bones has sent us this email:

I hope all is well with you and yours. I continue to use the Parmeds and have been able to heal 3 individuals of their fractured bones. All three had been recommended for surgical intervention of some kind. All three were able to avoid that outcome through the use of your device and there have been many celebrations in their not having to go under the knife!

Wound Healing with PEMF

PEMF for wound healing

A healthy body should be able to regenerate tissues naturally. Pulsed electro magnetic field therapy will cut down on the healing time of tissues. PEMF improves blood circulation to the affected area, and tissue regeneration is stimulated.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields have also been shown to be helpful in case of chronic wounds or skin ulcers. Using PEMF reduces oedema and influences repair processes at a cellular level. Increased collagen production accelerates wound healing as well as the forming of new blood vessels which carry oxygen and nutrients to the affected area, while getting rid of waste materials.

Fracture Healing with PEMF

The following X-rays of a 35 year old man were taken after a very bad motorcycle accident.

The man's leg was crushed between his motorcycle and a heavy truck. His leg was badly fractured in a few places and he had to undergo surgery in order to reposition the bone fragments with metal plates and screws.

After the bone has been repositioned, he began treatment with the Parmeds PEMF system daily. After a few weeks his leg function has extremely improved and pain was decreased. He continued using the Parmeds device and after a while he was able to walk again properly. A few months after the surgery he was back to his normal old self, and another set of X-rays was taken, clearly showing the healed bone:
