Fracture and Wound Healing with PEMF
A fracture is usually caused by a trauma to the bone. Other causes include fragile bones due to osteoporosis, or stress fractures in athletes as a result of overuse. When a bone is fractured, blood supply to the area should carry nutrients and new bone tissue should be formed with time. Nonetheless, in some cases the bone cannot heal properly, leading to a non-union fracture.
If at least three months have passed without signs of healing, it is assumed to be a non-union fracture.

Wound Healing with PEMF
A healthy body should be able to regenerate tissues naturally. Pulsed electro magnetic field therapy will cut down on the healing time of tissues. PEMF improves blood circulation to the affected area, and tissue regeneration is stimulated.

The following X-rays of a 35 year old man were taken after a very bad motorcycle accident.
The man's leg was crushed between his motorcycle and a heavy truck. His leg was badly fractured in a few places and he had to undergo surgery in order to reposition the bone fragments with metal plates and screws.
